My Story

Since I was young, I have enjoyed being outdoors. I would play from dawn til well after dark. As I got older, I found solace in the woods, especially as I was going through difficult times. Even now, I am most centered doing my favorite things in the woods; camping, hiking, hunting, and mountain biking. Because I love nature so much, I recycle and do my best to leave as small of a footprint as possible. I was trying to find a way to reduce my waste and give back to charity. Two totally separate ideas which I didn't consider doing together.

After seeing a post online about lotion bars, I started looking into how they were created and the benefits to both skin and environment. I took these ideas and decided to create lotion bars with nature in mind. I wanted to create lotion which had zero water and was in more eco-friendly packaging. This, in turn, lead me to ordering a few ingredients and experimenting with lotion bar making. The initial results were promising! I enjoyed the feel of the lotion and being able to create scents. Also, I was able to stop buying lotion at the store. Lotions are 70% to 80% water and are sold in plastic, so I was happy to stop buying them.

For the next year, I worked on my recipe for my lotion bars until I liked the formula. I "beta tested" with friends, family, and co-workers (Thank you all!) In the end, I created lotion bars with natural butters and oils which are nourishing for skin and have zero water. The bars are scented with essential oils and/or natural fragrance oils and packaged in recyclable containers.

Once I realized people liked them, the realization hit me that I could sell these, create some other natural products, help people become a little eco-friendlier, and give back to local charities and non-profits.

At each show, fair, or festival I attend, I will choose a charity or non-profit, which I will display at my booth, and will donate 50% of my profits to them.

I hope you enjoy my products!
